It's never easy to say goodbye to the carefree days of summer. Warm weather, good friends, and late nights are all the highlights of a trademark vacation from school. We will keep the good friends, strain to hold on to as much of the warm weather as possible for as long as we can, and wish that late nights do not occur due to the wrath of procrastinating our homework.
School starts on Wednesday and I am looking forward to another great year here at Horizon. 6th grade marks the final year for your student here at Horizon. More importantly, it marks a step up in responsibility, more possibilities for projects, and adventures through the curriculum (can you say mummies?). We have a lot of fantastic things planned for this year and I hope that you all enjoy the adventure that your student goes through.
I look forward to meeting you all (or, probably when you read this, we will have met) and working with you this year. Please know that the lines of communication are always open as we are partners in educating your 6th grader.
See all of you students on September 1st for your first day of 6th grade!
