NASA has been busy!

With the phasing out the space shuttle, NASA is getting as much spare parts as they can up to the International Space Station (ISS). The space shuttle Atlantis launched at 1:28PM on 11/16/09. This is the second launch we have been lucky to see live streamed off of the internet.

The students seem to love hearing how fast the space shuttle is going more than anything. Who can blame them? What other vehicle goes from 0 mph to 500 mph in 30 seconds? Or from 0 mph to 1,500 mph in 90 seconds?

It really is quite the feat when you think about it ~ 50 years ago NASA was still trying to figure out how to get a man in space. 40 years ago they put men on the moon. 28 years ago they launched their first space shuttle into space. Who knows where we will be in another 28 years ....

Until next time -- Mr. Finn --
