Thank you to all of those who volunteered to chaperone our trip to Chicago. We can only accept the first seven parents in each class and ours were filled very quickly. Those parents are:
Christian's Mom
Sarah's Mom
Jackson's Mom
Molly M's Dad
D.J.'s Mom
Sydney's Dad
Molly W's Dad

If you are still interested in chaperoning a field trip, we have two more in addition to Chicago that are coming up. On Wednesday, May 25th, from 12:15 to 2:15 we will be going rowboating down the Pewaukee River. We could use about two or three volunteers for this trip to help take pictures, urge the kids along the river (make sure none of them get stuck at the back) and help to load and unload the boats.
On Tuesday, May 31st, from 8:45-10:15, we will be restoring the Pewaukee River. We could use the assistance of a few adults who don't mind getting their hands dirty. It's not 100% clear what our classes job will be this year, but as an idea, last year we were trimming trees back, planting flowers and other plants near the bank, adding new soil to certain areas and getting rid of a lot of unneeded vegetation. It will be some manual labor for the kids - which all goes towards helping them feel like they own a piece of the river.
There are no costs for either river trip, just a signature on the form is needed. Take care!
