Part one of our two part field trip to the river was a nice, relaxing(ish), invigoration rowboat ride down the Pewaukee River. The kids got to test out their steering skills (ask them how that went!) and see how the river is healthy in some places and needs a little more work in others. Some kids even started part two of the field trip already by picking up trash.

We will be taking part two of the trip later to help restore and preserve the river. In the meantime, the kids certainly had some fun.
